Brian Bosire

Head of Play, Teach for Kenya

Bold Question: What if play was not a break from learning, but the way every child learned?

Pathway to Metis: Brian Bosire is the Head of Play at Teach For Kenya, where he brings learning to life through play. He works with fellows, system teachers, caregivers, and stakeholders to integrate Learning Through Play (LtP) into classrooms and communities, training educators, developing playful materials, and influencing policies that make learning joyful and impactful.

Growing up, Brian found magic in simple games—clay toys, paper bag footballs, and rainy day adventures. These moments shaped his belief that education should be fun, hands-on, and full of discovery. Before leading the Play department, he served as Recruitment Manager Lead at Teach For Kenya, where he saw firsthand the power of encouragement and the challenges children face in accessing quality education.

Today, Brian is a driver of change, passionate about enabling, inspiring, and empowering others to realize their potential. He’s also the founder of Jengarers, a team-building company that promotes well-being through play. When he’s not working, you’ll find him running 10Ks, filming motivational TikToks, or leading powerful conversations on faith, life, and purpose.
